CLINTON SUPPORTING IOWANS ONLY!

Tuesday, May 24, 2005
"There is no other agenda," Sure.

Senator Hilary Clinton is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 2008 election without doubt. After the alleged 42nd President made a mockery of the office itself, why not add insult to injury by running in 2008?

I think that I can see her logic a bit more clear now though: "I have been a Senator for about 4 years now; I think I have what it takes to run the world. After all, the alleged 42nd President did it from 1993 to 2001, why can't I?"

No, seriously, we need a freshman Senator to run the world.

At any rate the latest 'strategic decision' seems like a waste to me. Why would you invite Red State constituents to your house, or is it just extended to the 4 people that would actually afford and support your nomination? I would name the so-called 'strategic decision' a bigoted analysis if anything.

I also find it ironic that she joined the impeachment inquiry staff advising the Judiciary Committee of the United States HOR in the impeachment inquiry against President Richard M. Nixon. That training, would in fact, come in handy at a later date.

While interest in the blog is appreciated, I am not sure what the relevance of plugging your own blog in another's comment section is all about.

Can Hillary really reinvent herself for 2008? I really doubt it. I don't have polls to back me up but, speaking strictly for experience, she is hated on the right, untrusted on the left, and sort of pitied by swing-voters. She may have a strong core group of supporters inside the Democratic Party, but that party is becoming more and more irrelevant. If the Dems want to have any hope of winning the Presidency, they'll have to field someone who excites the left yet doesn't alienate the middle. I doubt a manish adulterer's wife is the one to do that.

Nemesis

Well said. The party itself is lacking in the creativity department. Case in point is the last election. As it turns out, 3% is a big number in the presidential race. Perhaps the margin could have been smaller had the Dems fronted a candidate (and associate running mate, for you know how I feel about freshman Senators running the world) that was not always on the defensive out of necessity.
