Amazing.

This is an article about Pfc. Stephen Tschiderer, who was shot by terrorists in the chest. There is an associated video accompanying the article that shows what happened. The event was captured on video by the terrorists that did it.

Pfc. Tschiderer is instantly knocked to the ground by the round (I don't for certain know what type of round it is, but probably 7.62mm or thereabouts), and nearly instantly after that rises from the ground not to run away, but to raise his rifle to the ready as to return fire. Pfc. Tschiderer does not randomly begin shooting in the direction he thinks the shot came from, but rather cover's himself until he gets to a more secure position. At that point, he locates the van and the terrorists that did it; Tschiderer of E Troop, 101st "Saber" Cavalry Division, attached to 3rd Battalion, 156th Infantry Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, responds and wounds the terrorists.

It is Pfc. Tschiderer who handcuffs the terrorist and gives the wounded man first aid. This is a demonstration of the professionalism of our military. Not only that, but also demonstrates the outstanding NCOs of the above mentioned unit. Pfc. Tschiderer adheres to the Rules of Engagement (ROE), and rely's on his training in a professional manner as to reflect the professional, serious attitude of the situation.

I laud the NCOs as well as Pfc. Tschiderer of the 256th BCT for their actions. Thank God the terrorist 'sniper' team was not worth its salt. This demonstrates the ineptitude of them as a whole. I am also glad that these terrorists were caught and that the soldier did not perish.
