ROSA PARKS DIES AT 92

Friday, October 28, 2005
Rosa Parks told Jim Crow to piss right off by refusing to give up her bus seat in Montgomery, Alabama 50 years ago. Two other African-American females had already accomplished the same move, but Parks was jailed for it. She was ordered to pay a fine of $14 for her "crime". She was partially responsible for the Civil Rights Movement in the same sense that a spark is partially responsible for fire. What a courageous lady in her day.

What I don't understand (and this subject never should have been breeched) is why some people would compare this woman to the likes of Cindy Sheehan. One is a hero and the other is a zero. I would think that being compared to that person is a bit like having a bag of cement dropped on you. May your soul rest in peace, Mrs. Parks.
